Happy Bike Walk Week!

It's a great time to clean the grime off your chain, buff your walking shoes and not fill your car's gas tank!

Clean Energy Victory for Minnesota!

For three years Sierra Club activists and allies have been working to stop the proposed Big Stone II coal-fired power plant expansion. Recently, an administrative law judge issued a recommendation to the Public Utilities Commission to DENY an important permit that Big Stone II needs for its transmission lines. This is a major setback for Big Stone II, and a huge step forward for Minnesota's energy future! It's not over yet — the PUC still has to vote — but this recommendation powerfully supports the message of Sierra Club leaders working to pull the plug on Big Stone II, and pursue a clean energy future.

Take Action on Global Warming Solutions

Last year Sierra Club North Star Chapter activists like you helped pass legislation that sets a target of 80% reduction of global warming pollution in Minnesota by 2050. Now our job is to make sure we achieve that goal. The Minnesota Clean Car Standard is one of the best steps we can take right now to achieve this goal. Take action and tell your legislator to protect Minnesota's future for our kids and grandkids by voting yes on this bill.

Seminary Fen Hearing
